Town Hall Meeting on SPLOST 8
The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will be hosting town hall meetings within their districts to discuss the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). The Commissioners will be asking for resident input to develop the SPLOST 8 project list.
Green Island Road Path Town Hall Meeting
Chatham County Chairman Chester A. Ellis will host a Town Hall meeting to discuss the Green Island Road Path project Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 6 p.m.
Underwater Robotics Team Competition Gives Students Deeper Understanding of Science and Technology

Some of the dogs at the recent Doggie Carnival were there to find their furever families. Animal Services team members and volunteers love and care for shelter animals while devoting tremendous time and creative energy to finding appropriate homes for them -- and sometimes their job is a walk in the park.

Chatham Emergency Management Agency Host the 2025 Hurricane Conference
CEMA hosted the 2025 Hurricane Conference on May 8th. The conference entitled "Lights, Camera, Evacuation" brought together nearly 400 emergency management professionals, government officials, and non-profits from our region to discuss best practices, lessons learned, and future plans in preparation for hurricane season.
